He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

There are times in life when we might ask ourselves the question, what does the Lord actually require of me?

Micah gives us the answer in this passage. He has shown us what is good. We are to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.

We must be honest in things that we do. We must show love and compassion to those in need. We also must humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God. These are some of the good things we have been told to do. We have no excuse, God has shown us what to do through His word.

Jesus told us that if we love Him we will obey His commands. We must take what we’ve been told through God’s word and put it to action in our lives.
