The Long Branch Church Children’s Ministry

The Long Branch Church children’s ministry is called and dedicated to love, support, teach, pray for and model Christ’s love to all children. We strive to provide an environment that:

  • develops a working knowledge of the Bible
  • gives children a strong foundation in Scripture through loving and nurturing teachers, committed to excellence
  • provides worship and prayer opportunities
  • develops a strong foundation for building a “servant heart” and to provide opportunities to love and serve others
  • provides support and opportunities for families to fulfill God’s purpose for their children as a member of God’s family

Children’s Programs

At Long Branch Church, we provide a variety of programs for children. We are blessed with very gifted and dedicated teachers and leaders who are committed to the calling of nurturing and educating our children.

Safe and loving care is provided for babies and children during all Sunday worship service, Sunday school, Wednesday night, special services, and church events
Sunday School (ages 3-8th grade)
Fun and exciting classes are offered to all children, year-round. Children are grouped based on age: ages 3-5, children kindergarten-5th grade, children 6th grade-8th grade.
Little Kid’s Church (preschool ages 3-5)
This program seeks to engage preschool children in Scripture and help prepare them for the Children’s Church program. They participate in a variety of activities that seek to develop their appreciation of the Bible and the place of worship.
Children’s Church (Kindergarten-5th Grade)
This hands-on program, designed to help young children mature in their listening skills and other worship readiness activities, prepares our children for the time when they will join their families in worship service participation.

Christmas Play

The Long Branch Children work hard every year through rehearsals and practice for a Christmas play to be performed during December. This play serves as both a way for the children to learn more about Bible stories while also beginning to explore the idea of ministry and how they can play a part in spreading God’s Word.

Terrific Tuesdays

During the summer, when children are out of school, the Terrific Tuesday program provides fun, engaging activities on a select few Tuesdays. In the past, activities have included: baking for shut-ins, arts and crafts, a “Christmas-in-July” party, learning how to plant a plant, mini-golf, and lots more!
